On the Journey Together

Each of us is on a journey! Many times it is referred to as “our Christian walk”. That’s probably as good a way as any to refer to our journey through life. Jesus said “Straight is the way and narrow is the gate that leads to life”. My goal is to help any who read my words stay on the path. We are on this journey together! Let’s help each other as best we can to complete it safely!

Remembering the things you've forgotten

In about 10 days my wife and I will begin traveling to our latest adventure in our life. Actually we have been pretty involved in the beginnings of it already, but our move to work with a new congregation in California is coming very quickly. I mentioned in the past that we are now in the process of visiting with some of the congregations with which we have worked and saying our "Good Byes". Yesterday we visited with the church in Portland, Indiana. I preached and the church had a special "Carry-in Meal" so we could spend some time visiting with old friends. It was a special time for us as we remembered times gone by and people who have left this earth and are now with our God.

Adventures In African Missions

adventures2 One question we receive everywhere we go is, “What is it like to be a missionary”. That is a very difficult question to answer. In trying to answer that question, for the past year or so Melody and I have been putting together a new book on missions. We compiled old reports, personal letters, daily journals and personal memories into a book that details daily life starting with our survey trip and going through the six years we spent in Kenya. It has lots of insights into the culture and lots and lots of pictures.
